Halo


So I guess Swedish bands are the new cool thing right about now, huh? Well I guess I can't really disagree. I love me some great Swedes (Acid House Kings and Jose Gonzalez for example) and it seems there are more to be heard. Pitchfork is trumpeting about Love Is All's new album that doesn't come out in the U.S. till January today. Well here's another group of Swedes for your consideration.
Amandine's songs seem ordinary until they go on and the instrumentation swells and everything's beautiful. Their debut album This Is Where Our Hearts Collide was released earlier this year in the U.S. in October.
(It may be of interest to some of you to know that they're on Britain's Fat Cat record label, home of Animal Collective, Sigur Ros, and Mum.)
