Cemetery Row

Pitchfork mentioned the other day about the new Minus Five album that would feature a lot of guest vocals, a couple from Wilco. Well one of the other tracks has Decemberists singer Colin Meloy on it. Songs:Illinois has that track, "Cemetery Row," if you want to hear it (which you do, of course). It reminds me a lot of his old Tarkio stuff, cuz it sounds more country.

Speaking of Tarkio, more information has been released about the reissue of all the Tarkio material on Kill Rock Stars called Omnibus. It's a 2CD affair, and CMJ has more details.

EDIT: It's just been announced that Colin Meloy will be making a CD full of covers by English folk singer Shirley Collins. The EP, a sort of sequel to this year's Colin Meloy Sings Morrissey, the EP will be sold on Meloy's solo tour across the coasts in January. Here are the dates and a track by Shirley Collins if you're unfamiliar with her.
