New Xiu Xiu News


On their website, Xiu Xiu have announced quite a year ahead of themselves. Foremost, their new album which is going to be called The Air Force. Songs included:

The Fox and the Rabbit

The album was produced by Deerhoof's Greg Saunier and is due September 15, 2006. Seems like so far away.

Also, they announced plans for a new EP of cover songs, two of which will be on a 7" and three on a CD, including covers of Bauhaus, Alex Chilton/This Mortal Coil, Nedelle, Elliott Smith, and Nina Simone.

Also, the band Grouper and Xiu Xiu are planning on an EP of ambient music also due in September.

Jamie Stewart and Devin Hoff are working on music for an upcoming McSweeney's DVD featuring cartoons and animated shorts from the early 1900's.
