Imaad Wasif

I'd never heard of Imaad Wasif until I heard he was joining the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on their tour for Show Your Bones. Turns out he was in the band alaska! and is putting out his own solo record on Kill Rock Stars in April. The songs on it are in the vein of singer-songwriters like (you guessed it), Elliott Smith. The songs have a more sinister feel to them than most of Smith's work though.

I hate to do this, but he's only got songs on his MySpace and I can't find any mp3s anywhere so go and stream the three songs off his new record if you like.
