Three Bands You Might Need to Get Close With

Surely you've heard of The Streets now, once a joke to many Americans, slowly becoming an readily liked rapper even if just for the accent for many. Thankfully Mike Skinner has gone on to prove that he's more than a joke and is serious about what he does. His songs are mostly tongue-in-cheek, and that's what I like most about him. His new album The Hardest Way To Make an Easy Living

The first single from the album:
When You Wasn't Famous
The album hits U.S. shores April 25.
Another band you may have heard of is the Swedish/French band Envelopes. I tried seeing them at SXSW opening for Art Brut but for some reason The Parish was 21+? I didn't know what that was about but it sucked having to miss them. I'd heard some stuff from their album Demon (Swedish for "Demos" I think) and like it a lot. especially this song:
Sister in Love
You like that? Well you might like this even more. Head on over to Musicisnotdead to pick up the frikken rad Clor remix of "Sister in Love."
Buy Demon from Insound.Oh! And talking about Clor, they've put a couple remixes of their own songs up on their website. They're steadily working on their follow-up album to their debut, which was excellent and poppy and all if you haven't heard it, due out sometime this summer/fall.
Terrifying Wolf Attack (Infants Remix)
Goodbye (Morgan Quaintance Remix)
