And the Villains

I don't really know anything about this band, but the tracks I've heard are pretty good. Plus I read they've been opening for Sons and Daughters in the UK. That can't hurt. Anyway, Vincent Vincent and the Villains make songs that sound like they could be on the oldies station on the radio. Their bass-driven pop melodies have a barber shop sort of quality to me. I don't know, it's weird but good.

This band are from Bethnal Green, which is in my neighbourhood in East London. They play loads of gigs around London, but ironically I saw them for the first time at festival in Leicester (midlands, England) in the summer. Great sharp rythmns and sharper haircuts and suits. Fine barbershop harmonies too! See them live if you can (not much help at the moment if you live in the US, I know...)
