Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Tortoise Covers Album

So apparently this album by Bonnie 'Prince' Billy (ne Will Oldham) and the band Tortoise was supposed to come out this month on Domino Records but has been delayed until January. The album, The Bold and the Brave consists of ten covers by some pretty famous bands and people from Elton John to Bruce Springsteen to Devo. Yeah. Those are the mp3s I got for you.

Follow the links
Daniel (Elton John)
That's Pep! (Devo)
Thunder Road (Bruce Springsteen)

i have the same problem with this as i do with the sun kil moon modest mouse covers. it's just the lyrics set to different music. good music (i keep forgetting i like tortoise) but when somebody covers a song, someone who speaks no english should be able to tell. like that white stripes cover - completely their own yet instantly recognizable. i hope this collaboration leads to an album of originals.

Wonderful, I have been anticipating hearing this for some time. I'm with Rob, I hope this leads to more collaboration between them.

Great! A bit too short? Doesn't matter.
