Since Virginia asked...and it's been a year since Mike left, it is definitely time for an update on the kid. Mike is doing really well. He loves Mexico, loves the people, and loves the food. We were a little worried about a boy that wouldn't eat much more than meat and cheese, but he's definitely branched out. He loves menudo, cilantro, and even face tacos (barbacoa).He's not as homesick, but still misses the music SOOOOO much. He gets an hour of internet time and spends much of it finding out what is happening in the music world and trying to juggle writing all of us.
I don't know how many of you knew him personally, but he does check his email weekly. I'm sure he'd like to hear from any of you.
He's scheduled to come home in October, and I'm sure he'll be hold up in his room with cds and dvds galore surfacing only for food.
