Don't You Remember You Told Me You Loved Me Baby

The past month or so I've been obsessing over Sonic Youth's Goo. I never knew much about them until I heard Sonic Nurse in my sister's car on the way to Austin City Limits a couple years ago. Anyway Goo is a terrific album full of swooping guitars and Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore swapping mic duty, each doing a great job at it.
My favorite song off the album is "Tunic (Song for Karen)" I don't know what it is that made me love it, but it's just amazing. I wanted to know more about the song and found out the whole backstory on how it's about Karen Carpenter. It all fit! The song made so much more sense then, and meant a lot more. I grew up listening to the Carpenters, probably like many others my age and older. My mom had all their records blah blah blah. Anyway yeah. I was excited to see Sonic Youth had even covered "Superstar."
